If he's got any real cues in that cabinet, the Meucci is apt to stink the place up pretty good:grin-square:

Oh...haha. I get it now. I don't have a ton of cues, mostly Cog's, Dayton, Runde, Coker, Blud Rifleman. Nothing really super high end. But I just always liked that Capt Hook.
all things considered the OLDER the cue the greater the value
the M factory has had re-runs of their successful "classics" with ea series becoming more mysterious (as a rule) with regards to materials utilized and manufacturing methodology
that said i hit some balls with one of there newer "big" pin cues which was mostly wood (i think) and was impressed with the "feel"

I like the look of the Captain Hook cue as well. In fact, there are a whole bunch of earlier Meucci theme Cues that I like.
The Tomahawk, Road Agent, Hook, Music cues and others. I just wish he hadn’t compromised on materials and build quality.
If he hadn’t, I would own several..
Materials quality and flawless construction are a couple biggies....
My three elements I consider when buying a cue (in this order) are:
Playability
Design
Execution (flawless construction).

For all you Meucci bashers, you have never tried one with thePRO SHAFT.
They are excellent cues and with the right person pushing it capable
of truly great runs. I know I have 5 of them.
i think the big pin cue i hit balls with had the "pro" shaft, which i liked
i also have a couple original "classics" in my cue rack, they hit okay and sound better

I'm gonna bet you that Meucci's have won more tournaments and gamblin' $$$ than all those hi-dollar pretty cues you can think of.
No bet, Wise Guy...cause I know you're right. That ol' first edition JR-2 of mine was a damn good "fishin' pole." It currently rests peacefully in its own original Viking snake skin case.
