Mother drills

That's because I rearranged things. The drills were in my March 2010 column in Billiards Digest. Here is a PDF with all of my 2010 columns (until I move them again):

http://www.sfbilliards.com/articles/2010.pdf

And here is the index to all of the columns I have put online:

http://www.sfbilliards.com/articles/BD_articles.html

And here are a bunch of other files you may find useful:

thanks for all the links bob
btw
covid must have you bored
you seem to be going thru avatars recently....LOL

That's interesting Allen...as DCP doesn't believe in the merits of SPF!

Who says I dont believe in SPF? Its got legitimacy. Nick Varner agreed on this.

What I dont believe is that rolling balls down the table (the Mother Drills) is going to make you better.

I dont believe the cue goes where your eyes go.

I dont believe my motorcycle is going into the ditch if i look over into the ditch.

I dont believe you have to keep that elbow up and pinned and shoot with a pendulum/snooker stroke.

I dont believe you should shoot the break shot with the elbow up and pinned. This one absolutely boggled my mind.

I dont believe you ABSOLUTELY HAVE to look at the OB last.

I am a much better motorcycle rider and even better at skiing than pool player. But I can guarantee you this... You never, ever, look at the trees when skiing the trees. You look where you want to go. Unless you want to join Sonny Bono.

Scott, times are tough, why bother?

you resurrect threads from many years ago for problems which should have been resolved many years ago Problems occur all the time. Even to people like Tiger Woods.

"its YOU thats the problem not them ".....me
"You could have a SMALL point here."....you
go deeper in to your intuition and you will find i am right
you need to find an instructor you buy in to and have virtual lessons every 1-2 weeks
assuming you have a table at home AND you will put in the table time to work on each weeks goal

hey buzz
can you relate your ski experience back to pool?
in pool, what's the equivalent of looking "where you want to go"?

of course it's us
we could blame everybody and everything
but ultimately we're the ones shooting

not just in pool, but in life
I think we gotta "buy in" to ourselves
before we can ever get the most out of another person
not to say visiting with another opinion/perspective couldn't help
sometimes we need that
same deal tho
there are different ways to get there
but at the end of the day, it's on us as individuals
to choose which way we go

I had the pleasure of meeting Scott and learning from him. I struggled with some of the things I learned and hung in there with his teachings. My game has went to another level and I give credit to the teaching methods Scott used on me. I’m a believer.
