Unknown Cue Identification

Hi I would like some help in trying to figure out the maker of the cue pictured. I purchased the cue a little over a year ago through a third party so I don't have any history of it. The cue has a Bill Schick style pin, It is well made and is well balanced and plays great.
Thank You

Why do you think the maker would add the ring into the shaft like that? From what I can see the grain on the shaft lines up on either side of the ring.

It has what appears to be a phenolic portion where the joint pin is inserted.

Some real creativity in this cue.

The ring in the shaft I also wondered about why it is there. And you are correct the grain does match up. Like I said the cue is really nice to bad the person that made it didn't initial it.

So that is a ring and not some kind of marking?

Looks like the finish ends at that point on the shaft too. Like a cheat marker for when the maker is finishing the shaft ad doesn't feel like wearing or even finding his glasses.

It definitely is a ring. Your correct the finish does stop there.

Wackiness...also on the wack: surprised nobody has supplied the maker yet.

Between the pin and that odd shaft, that's a pretty unique piece of firewood.

The ring on the shaft and the joint pin are the 2 things I was hoping someone would recognize to find out the maker.

Fine. I'll give you $86.11 for it.

Dammit, you drive a hard bargain. $93.12 but you pay shipping.

Have you asked Bill Schick if it's one of his? Maybe someone ordered the shaft ring as a custom touch.

Huh, that sucks! I'm 99% sure it's a Schick. that's his pin.
Never seen one that wasn't signed/marked in some way. I've seen other cues with that little white doo-dad on the pin. He doesn't use just one joint pin. MIGHT be his work but i doubt it.

I wonder if that shaft isn't from a 1 piece house cue? Seems I remember seeing those somewhere ?

I could be wrong for sure, But since I haven't personally seen that doo - dad pin anywhere but on Bills cues that came to mind imediatly for me. It looks like quality work from what I can see in the small pictures. One thing is certain, it's definatly an unusual design.

I did a lot of internet searching to try and find who uses that pin design and Bill Schick was the only one I could find. Hopefully he will open back up soon and I can get in touch with him. Thanks for the input.
