I was in Taiwan about 10 years ago and played this game with the locals. They tried to explain the rules to me, but we got lost in translation. I recall the rules were something like to score a point, you must: Make the CB carom into a ball on stroke 1. On stroke 2, make the CB carom into 2 balls on the same shot. On stroke 3, make the CB carom into all 3 balls on one shot. You must do all three strokes successfully in succession in order to score one point.

Does anyone here know for sure how the rules go? Or what the game is called?

Thanks for the rules. I've done that since the 90s as a pool drill; always going for the threes. The idea was secondary carom control. I called it trilliards. lol

Heh. I actually played 235 Taiwanese carom yesterday with my buddy yesterday. I wanted to see if my newly obtained carom skills transport from Shooters Pool game. I play there nowadays a lot of straight rail carom and little 3 cushion too. We played race to 3 points and it took about 15 minutes to me get 3 points.

very interesting thank you.
i feel like that woman is blabbering
on and on about herself and what happened
to her yesterday and everything else in the world
except this pool game. but i speak only english,
might be very wrong. she sure has a lot to say.

it also seems that they are alternating shooting righty/lefty, or that the middle shot has to be left handed.

Btw. When u make a point in this game it feels like u ran out set from behind or long run on 14.1 When Ko makes point you can see him cheering and fist pumping. I get same feeling when i play this really really hard game. And even super good pool players are noobs when they play this game...

Made just for fun video about those points i made on that 3 point game. When i score last one you can hear how exciting it is score on this game... lol.
This game should have warning sign: "don´t try this home. These shots are made by professionals and may be dangerous to your health and blood pressure to try these shots without supervisor":D

i tried to copy link to last point but it is at 2:44 if timeline link not working :)

Nice position. When I do this I just go for the trilliards no matter how complex and unlikely. I reason that anything billiards is bound to be good enough for pool position.

Wow that's very good! 3 points in 15 minutes is impressive. However! - point #2 doesn't count ;), I don't think you get free rein w/the cue ball when its pocketed (2:05), it gets spotted just like an object ball. In that case I think it should go on the head spot. (Which is almost the same shot you had, maybe you score from there anyway.)

At any rate, really nice. I liked the nice little masse on your 3rd point.
