Did something nice today

I did something nice today and feel good about it so sharing. I gave my Bob Frey Coco sneaky with rings to a friend who has been wanting the cue for some time now. I gifted it completely free under one set of conditions. If it ever stops being his main playing cue for 2 months he has to gift it free to someone else under the same circumstances. I am hoping the cue continues to get some good use and passed on. This is probably not a huge deal to some but I played with that cue for many years and waffled back forth on just the idea of selling but the holiday spirit got me.

Definitely a nice thing to do! When I wasn't hitting balls very often I gave my moochie away to a coworker who had started playing leagues. Hadn't known him long but he seemed like a nice guy. Your friend will treasure that Frey and every time he pulls it out of the case he will remember how he came to be in possession of it. Worth more than the few hundreds the cue would have brought. Too, I like to see even inanimate objects that have served me well go on to good hands.

It’s a HUGE deal! I once did that with a brand new cue. My stipulation was don’t sell it. Well, guess what? The fucking guy sold it. People have no values. I mean zero. They always figure out a way to justify it. Sad, sad, sad. I see through it and unfortunately it hurts. Then the same people wonder why you go cold. So many times. I don’t take anyone serious anymore. $100 to people on the street. Giving people food then they ask for money for cigs which is an excuse for a pint of preferred. Been there done that more times than most. It’s never ever panned out. When I say that I feel you might be offering a break in life but it’s never accepted as such.
