Get behind the object ball looking from it to where you are pocketing it. Look at where the cue ball will be when it hits the object ball. Not the spot on the object ball, the spot half a ball behind it where the center of the cue ball will be. Slowly go back and forth between the spot the cue ball will be when it hits the object ball and down the path to the center of the pocket opening to make the ball take advantage of the inside rail of the pocket to add extra width to your shot area. Don't aim at the corner of the long rail, you are taking a lot of margin for error out of one side. Aim for the center of the area where the ball will fall. Stare at that spot the cue ball needs to be in when it hits the object ball. Now you have locked in what you need to do. If at any time during your preshot routine and shot you let thoughts of failing in, get up and get behind that object ball again.
The ball will fall, no other option. I would set up this shot and the similar shots from moving the cue ball and object ball around until I absolutely own what was a difficult shot for me. Going work on some long rail banks, my table has lockjaw too right now!
