What's that like 6” ferrule?
Every time I do a redo I either in error screw up the shaft or when just a basic repair take a little more shaft, so,
just added more ferrule, shafts at 29 1/4 with tip.
That little ring (mahogany) at the base of the ferrule is tenon both ways, the ferrule itself is just under 2", the tenon ends at the expanded (width) part of the ferrule, do that so to be able to accommodate different size tips.
At present, the narrow part at the tenon joint the shafts at 3/8", tip is at .465.
The little "line of sight" drillings are there because "why not", actually though, this one is the truest as far as being straight, others being off center ever so slightly did find that the cue turn for top, bottom action did hop up the action on the shot. The sight drillings are color coated for action.
