Don't forget about antique shops. I found a 100+ year old set of balls worth probably $1000 for $45. My brother picked up a McDermott dice cue for cheap, too.
They both work. I got a Palmer cue and case for $10 at a garage sale.Garage sale are better chances of scoring something great at good price.
Well, you heard the man. It’s a mint Richard Black. Will you take $50 for it?Sit tight, I've got a buddy who knows everything about pool cues and I'll call him to come down and tell us about them.

It's all scripted. These people aren't just visiting and happen by. The show flies them out there after scouring Craig's List, Penny Saver, Thrifty Nickle, etc. from all over the country looking for items of historic interest. The price is agreed upon beforehand. Can’t stand pawn shops and their predatory m.o.. Few legal or illegal industries have a lower standard of ethics.
I’ll take Antiques Roadshow over this program any day.
I don’t understand why all the sellers don’t just get the provenance and appraisal, decline the offer, and sell the item on eBay using the show as free publicity.
It's the same reason people donate to famous youtubers. They get 15 minutes of fame and get to fanboy over an entertainer they like.I don’t understand why all the sellers don’t just get the provenance and appraisal, decline the offer, and sell the item on eBay using the show as free publicity.
