2/ there are a max of 16 balls, 6 pockets and one playing surface. The game has been around for more than 91 years. What new shots do you think are going to be created? They would have to be based in reality, otherwise they'd be flukes and virtually unrepeatable by anyone, especially not by the average player.

The idea behind pocket numbered pool is to make table transition more common. The motivation behind it is to help beginners look at the table and look for more than one shot that is worth playing.
Pocket number pool would be short race games, you can play it on top of the existing rules for any existing game. The main difference being each turn at the table the designated pocket to shoot at changes.
For example there could be an easy cut into the side pocket on your turn, but that is not the active pocket of the inning. Its all part of my Billiard Aptitude Test Training program.
