Two is the perpendicular height of the cue butt from the line.

Maybe a bathtub driving simulator is a better pursuit? Youre clueless about pool, it is painfully PAINFULLY obvious.

No, they use a level.

Its a tool to get done it efficiently. If levels didn't exist they would slow roll hundreds of balls and take longer...but level is level, straight is straight and flat is flat. It's not rocket surgery.

i agree it should be in free body diagram form for the engineers. they might have trouble seeing the real life version.
