The latest trend in book promos is reading interesting passages.

Billiards history is worth telling.

Dude?!? That is straight up stoopid. What are you even trying to communicate?
?
?
I get a kick out of you, but it’s Friday night and I have a good buzz kickin’. You never follow through on anything. You’re like my stoner buds who think they have a great idea, and it might be, but they only feel ambitious in the moment.

‘Member when you were going to make instructional videos? I ‘member. Each week you were going to post a new one. The first video was slapped together with little to no effort. The second video came with the caveat that you didn’t want to do any real work.

You might have potential bud, but if you don’t want to put the work in to realize it, you might as well have never had it in the first place. Step aside and make way for somebody who really wants it.

The tournament threads and aiming discussions are getting boring.

Its about expanding the billiard reach.
Non pool players read books.

Get non pool players thinking about pool.

Reading book passages is pretty common in some professions.

I got the idea from following ralf eckert and watching self help videos.

I think the big sell is if you dont know anyone, then you can find people at a pool hall. And those people will be about playing pool.

If you are willing to have an adult conversation about any of your "ideas", I am willing to do that for reasons I don't understand.

But every time anyone tries to engage with you its a bunch of random pivots, strawman arguements and non sequitur questions.

Are you capable of an actual conversation where one person makes a statement or asks a question followed by the other person responding to it directly?

Talks in circles
Rouses animosity
Offers nothing of value
Lectures nonsensically
Lacks remorse

What could it mean...?

The pool community is growing.
Math, physics and equations hasnt had the draw for new pool players.

How are your language skills?

a fun discussion takes more than one physics situation. And it does involve a give and take.

No one is telling stories. Its all product placement.

Does anyone else have a "pool book reading" they would choose?

I was looking at Roberts on Billiards today (John Roberts Snr, 1869 I think). He had reproduced a few pieces about hustling from other writers (in the chapter 'sharp practitioners', if anyone's interested: Google Books PDF (Free) ). It's always a pleasant surprise when these books are actually interesting to read! 😆

What is it you teach?

You have proven time and again it cannot be reading, writing, math, science, history, home economics, health/basic hygiene, art, drafting, A/V, shop or any other elementary or secondary education class.

So what exactly are you a professor of?

I am on the general education. my specialty is science. there are plans to build out a full dept, ten years down. And i started a minor and developing a combo program with accounting for actuarial sciences. I consider myself administrative instructor.

i also like to be involved in athletics and sports information. being part of this sports forum has been developmental in my community expertise attending pool events.

if you run baseball, football, track, volleyball , softball, rugby or esports let me know. My teams travel and respect the competition. The teams travel nationally and locally, some recruits are from countries as small as PI.

i am also supporting residence life and pushing for a very openly gay and inclusive culture in academic spaces.

I'm guessing not an English major.

Efficiency in communication is a higher priority than expressiveness in communication. I like arguing short form expressions, not complicated rules full of exceptions like Standard English.

Teaching good writing and effective writing for a non college educated audience is worth debating. What mode of communication works best for AZB users?

It's not efficient if nobody understands what you are trying to say.

And again, no one will understand what this efficient comment means. And oh the irony, this does in fact seem "expressive".

It just means when pride month happens, tell people its pride month.

If a story goes national then discuss it for a little bit.

What is your version of expressive?

It means if you're going to be a good troll you need a consistent story line. Your style, or lack of skill, just keeps moving the ball around the field and doesn't build momentum. You're going to have to try harder to be any good.
