Whats stopping 4 events being played simultaneously, around the world?Where is the line drawn between a pro and an amateur???
And....why not a Fargo rate of 750 so at least you have the chance of getting a 128-person field?

Ever see amateurs playing with the top PRO'S?The top pros in golf never have to pay a dime out of their pockets to play in a tournament. That's why you see so many patches/logos sewn onto their shirts and hats.
Sponsorship.....the real difference between pool and other professional sports.
So you're saying that only 32 players in America would have a chance of making money at their sport???Why do I need a 128 player field? Why not 4 separate events in different regions of the world, on THEIR TIME LINE, with 32 players each? Look at how much is saved in NOT having to travel to play!
Yes, in ANY open event.Ever see amateurs playing with the top PRO'S?
That's the problem, there is NO PROFESSIONAL POOL IN AMERICA, what you do have however, is a bunch of amateurs that INSIST they have a right to play against the PROS, and how dare ANYONE suggest otherwise! So you're saying that only 32 players in America would have a chance of making money at their sport???
With thinking like this....no wonder professional pool is struggling in America.
You, and everyone that thinks like you, are the direct reason as to why there's no Professional pool played in America m, because there CAN'T be any PRO only events!!So you're saying that only 32 players in America would have a chance of making money at their sport???

See, its like this. I could always give my 2 oldest daughters popsicles when they asked for them, but when they started asking me for every kid in the neighborhood, because they wanted popsicles too....I quit buying them! Amateurs are the fat on the backs of the Pros, which is what has prevented any sponsorship from coming on board, because that same FAT is against any and all attempts to organize this sport for fear of excluding them!!!So you're saying that only 32 players in America would have a chance of making money at their sport???

Here is the 16th top USA money earner from the AZB money list for this year:So you're saying that only 32 players in America would have a chance of making money at their sport???
...
83 | M | Pool | USA | Justin Hall | $9,190.00 |
Which is exactly why sponsorship needs to be directed at supporting Professional pool players, in the hopes of creating more Pros by raising the standards of what it is to be a Professional. But if sponsorship has to carry the weight of every amateur player in this country that WANTS to be a pool player, MILLIONS of sponsorship dollars wouldn't add up to a drop in the bucket!!!Here is the 16th top USA money earner from the AZB money list for this year:
58 M Pool USA Joe Korsiak $6,345.00
And here is USA #16 from the 2019 list which was the last normal year:
83 M Pool USA Justin Hall $9,190.00
I would say that pool tournaments can support perhaps eight US pool players. Certainly not 32 at this time.
but you need a plan for the sponsor to recover their expenses or you'll never see any money!!
Indirectly. Ideally, sponsorship increases the visibility of their brand/product and increases sales. People may view the product/brand more favorably by being attached to their favorite sport as well. Imagine if Pepsi became the major sponsor of a professional pool tour, at least some pool players would begin drinking Pepsi more exclusively. All the good ideas of what a professional event should look like are meaningless if we don't know how to make money for the sponsors.
How do sponsors make money in other sports?
Keep in mind, all other sports are organized forms of entertainment. Is pool organized, or are sponsors just expected to throw money at it by supporting anyone and everyone playing for those dollars???Indirectly. Another example, predator was the first high-priced cue brand I was aware of when I started playing pool because they sponsored tournaments and I saw players using their cues. I took that to mean that they were a quality cue and then bought one.
I wonder how many APA members are sponsored by Predator???Indirectly. Ideally, sponsorship increases the visibility of their brand/product and increases sales. How many money tournament players are there again?Indirectly. Ideally, sponsorship increases the visibility of their brand/product and increases sales. Maybe one, and that would be a guess... (probably not)I wonder how many APA members are sponsored by Predator???![]()
If you look up the top 100 players in the world by FR, a rating of 775 or higher takes in the top 90 players in the sport. And with that being the requirement to play in PRO events, it leaves room for players to improve their FR to 775 or higher, if they want to be included in the PRO'S only events.
What would hold a greater entertainment value to watching customers is a major SATURDAY/SUNDAY event, involving only the best Pro's in the sport, 32 players per event.
Yep, so that means I guess they'd have to learn to work together.....worldwide!
