I really like masters sky blue, but it doesn't stick well on my phenolic tip. What do you guys recommend for chalk with phenolic tips?
Thanks
Brent

Phenolic tips are so 5 years ago, damage cueballs, feel like you are hitting with a rock. Swap the thing out for a Samsara or White Diamond, no issues with chalk.

WD's are the nuts imo. The clear polycarbonate tips(Bulletproof etc) are quite good also. The worst are those pos G10's.

Use a premium chalk. (no shameless plug), use any brand premium chalk and it will do the job. They're all good, some a little better than others ;)

I am not a fan of the clear plastic tips, they have pretty much the same characteristics as the phenolic ones, very hard and stiff. I played with two shafts with them, and neither were close to matching a hard pressed leather tip or one of the more pliable break/jump tips like Samsara or the White Diamond. I think the White Diamond jumps better than pretty much any tip I tried, but it does have a more pliable feel on the break than others, which some may not like. So far that is my favorite tip to go on a break or a jump cue. Everyone that tried it on my cue has gotten it for theirs also.

Yea this is my first go with a dedicated breaker. Got a good deal on it via a forum. It came with a phenolic. I may end up getting a new tip for it down the line we will see. I do really like the way it hits but it's easy to miscue due to not holding chalk well.
