Aramith Blue Circle Cue Ball

I weighed a Red Circle at Buffalo’s that was 156g. It might have 10 years old, who knows. The new ones weighed 168g.

Interesting. That is a huge difference. Oddly enough the WPA specs apparently allow a range of 156 to 170 grams, 8% variance.

Both players play with the same CB, so I never really worried about it. I do like to have a big mix of CB’s for the home table, just to understand how they play.

i sent aramith another email asking about the centennials
here is the responce

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your e.mail.

The Centennial set is made with the Aramith Pro resin and has the same specifications and playability as the Super Aramith Pro set.

Hoping this answers your request,

Best regards.

ARAMITH - BELGIUM

I've weighed brand-new ones that were 162-164. BC and Measels are all in the 166-169 area.
I did the weighing thing 20 years ago when this topic came up, and it was an old topic then! My new red circle weighed the same as the other cueballs and object balls. Some fake non-Aramith red circles might vary from this, but mh genuine Aramith red circle weight the same.

Freddie <~~~ it all goes in (red) circles

i recently contacted aramith regarding tournament vs super pro as i need to replace a set
i know this is off topic but it may be usefull to someone

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your e.mail.

The Aramith pool ball sets come in different types with different specifications.

From low end to high end :

- Crown Standard set uses our basic "Premier" resin, and contains some second quality balls (slight cosmetic defects that don't affect playability).
- Premier set uses the same Aramith Premier resin as the Crown Standard. All balls are first quality and the cosmetic is different
- Premium set uses the Aramith Premium resin, a higher end resin creating a vitrification layer which is a translucent and very hard external layer. For this reason the numbers look a little bit fuzzy.
- Super Aramith Pro sets use the Aramith PRO resin, featuring a deeper vitrification layer. In addition the sets are matched to minimize the weight difference within a set.
- Tournament sets use the same Aramith PRO resin, but are produced using a proprietary technology called Duramith, allowing a longer lifetime.

The BLACK set belongs to the Aramith Tournament family.

More information is available on our website : www.aramith.com

Hoping this answers your request,

Best regards.

Saluc will also tell you that Centennials use the Super Aramith PRO resin and are manufactured to the same specifications. I assume that Brunswick said, “ here’s the aesthetic design… go ahead and make it to whatever you think is best.”

Freddie <~~~ tastes the same

Have received the Blue circle ball about a week ago and the Black circle ball today. One thing I have noticed, the blue circle ball will show chalk
stains heavier than the black circle ball will, and I mean by a lot. Played with the black for about 2 hours this evening and there was maybe one or two faint chalk marks on the ball after the session of practice,,the blue would be needed to be cleaned after the work out I laid down. All in all I'm really liking this black circle ball , it seems like a better product,,my 2 cents issued. The black circle ball was ordered through Amazon
Thanks all ! To add they both will leave the white spots on the HR cloth at about the same rate. I sperimented sum

I guess you have to ask yourself are all three balls made by the same company? It could make all the difference in the world if you end up with a quality ball, or a cheap Chinese knockoff.

By 'black circle' do you mean the Tournament cb? IMO that's the best ball for the $.

Well the link below will show the one I purchased, black circle
The blue circle, came from pool dawg and the black circle came from Amazon , and looks just like the one in the link. There was a genuine Aramith
paper along with the order that came in. As for pool dawg , they always have sent the quality stuff to me, when ordered. My old blue circle ball has the same problem of showing chalk as does the new one does, just noticed the diff when playing around with the newer black circle.

Aramith makes a black measles ball which is supposed to be the best.
It is hard to find and all the pool merchandise websites are out of stock.

I notice same thing. I always loved the BW blue circle CB, but it does seem to mark up and hold chalk more than others. I play with Aramith Pro Tourney balls, and the black logo CB that comes with those does seem to stay cleaner and plays great. I play with them all and find the differences between most of them to be very minute, almost indiscernible - but for some reason this Cyclops single big red dot CB stays cleanest for me after long practice sessions.

Buy it before it is gone

Looks like a dot.

Pardon me.

I honestly never give what ball, or ball set is in use. I do not like the Bar table magnetic ball much.

Everything else is fine in my world.

I bought three Blue Circle cue balls a while back.

I have used one of them and the other two are still in the box.

I will trade one of the unused ones for an Aramith black or red measles cue ball that is unused.

I haven’t viewed in person the Dynashere brand of pool balls so I’m in the dark about that line.
Here’s my small inventory of pool balls. One brand I bought & resold within 48 hrs was Cyclops.
It wasn’t my cup of tea so afterward I just used the proceeds & got an extra new Centennial set.
I own about a dozen or so different sets of balls, but I see you have 3 sets of Centennials. What led you to purchase multiple sets of the exact same type versus all different for variety? Just curious.
