I've used them - they're thinner than paper, don't affect ball movement that I saw.
Is there a problem with them, like they're expensive, or don't last? It would seem like a good solution and do away with the whole issue of removing the rack after the break.
The only problem I had was that they must have left a little glue residue when removed, because little donut-shaped dirty spots developed. I think they were pretty easily cleaned.
Watching some of SVB's efforts this morning and noticed the CB roll off one of these donuts. Slight and inconsequential, but still altered the path.

Yup. Especially the corner rings. A little Goof Off removes it and doesn't stain the cloth.

The Eurotour already uses something that gives the same result. They tap the balls in place. Nothing is on the table except the dimples where you have tapped them. Just roll the balls into the dimples. For home use the donuts are better because the tapping only lasts for days or so, but that's long enough for a tournament.I’ve used this racking system for years and it’s by far the best out there!! The balls sit perfectly frozen every time and the best part is the rings are so thin it doesn’t not effect play. The bonus is you neve have to remove anything after the break and it’s always there ready to go!!
Now we will hear about how the rack is too perfect and when playing nine ball and the wing ball goes everytime. Well all I can say it get control of the table, win and you get the trick shot
It amazes me that you get an idea and system like this and it works perfectly and you still will get people arguing about it. Numerous times I’ve seen players using a template and don’t remove it quick enough and have a ball roll off it. Worse yet a few times a dying ball that rolled off it and frozen to another ball locking it up and neither ball had a pocket. Arguing ensured and yelling and wanting a rerack and all other crap going on.
Personally I would like to see this racking system in every tournament or event in the world. Eliminating racks and aruging about the rack for good!!!
