Any ideas on the age and make of this double butterfly conversion?

I found this today at a thrift shop. I sure wish someone had not tapered the ivory joint, but such is life.

I hope you bought it. That looks like a very old custom made cue, all done by hand. Probably circa 1950's and maybe even older.

That tapered joint is extremely old. Pre-1900s. You have a bonafide antique, not a modern player

Yes I did. Unfortunately the shaft is super short, but the butt is just under 29” including the tapered ivory joint.
