2019 was last time i even saw carom table and i played few games of carom back in 2004. Closest carom table where i live is about 500km.. So no any option than online so far. I try get table in our club though ;)
I did play carom games now one year in online game called shooters pool. Just to learn better cueball and for fun.
I now just packed my bags and hopped train and went to Helsinki and got into Finnish Champs in 3-cushion.
Friday was clubs weekly competition which had only 6 players but couple can avg over 1 in good day. I had 2 warm up strokes and then played competition and was lucky enough to win it with close to 0.6 avg.

Saturday were Finnish Champs with 16 players in and I did not get good start and miss 8 of my first shots. I won still first match and needed another win or loss with good amount of caroms to get last 8 cup. came 4 caroms short to qualify in last 8 and got into 10th place. my avg was little short of 0.5.. so i sucked but I can´t remember still when i had so much fun in competition.

Here me playing with my pool cue(I need carom table and cue badly!!). game starts around 2:03:00 if timestamp on link not working.
If someone knows about 3-cushion tell what u think about my game? I know i hit often too hard but it is because i play too light cue. Also too flexible to play good carom.
Also i think this match was my lowest level play all weekend. I know I can get easily couple notches better if i get proper cue and start hit with proper cuts. Now i was trying to adapt to deflection and swerve whole weekend. It was just too hard with pool cue.

For whats its worth, I think all you need is more table time to eliminate some of the errors. With that you could be .750 or better in a short order.

Video doesn't come close to being on top of the ball but that 1st miss cue, it looked like you didn't need anything special. Maybe you were playing a different shot than I was thinking.

When your opponent almost made a fluke @ 14-23 your choice was to double the rail. Even though you have a decent grasp or doubling the rail, that was a very low percentage shot. Anything less than absolute perfection IMO, the 2nd OB would be kissed out.

What was going on at the end of the game? Did they call you on a deliberate safety that caused the break shot to be set up? Then the game ended after he missed the break? Strange. Was there also a time limit on the game?

Could it have been equal innings?

game was to 30 points but max 40 innings. Yellow have last inning from break position. After that round games was to 30 points normally.
Thanks for feedback. Korean Sang said similar before tourney. He is guy who taught me play on shooterspool. He estimated i can play 0.5 from start and probably 0.8 - 1.0 if i get some practice. I am now on mission to get carom table in our Private Club. :)

Oh wow...check out the cue ball after it hits the red on the shot at 6:10.

Things that make a pool player go hmmph.

I miss 3-cushion....never had a good table in my country.
I played quite a bit in the USA years ago...it changed my approach to pool and snooker.

Hopefully we find out. A game to 24 is sort of a odd, but equal innings would explain everything else.
That round was limited to 40 innings:
