If he has been giving lessons he has, more than likely, been hitting balls.I guess we'll jump off that bridge when we come to it but given that he chose to quit mid-run I think he may have to pick it up cold from there.

I guess you're right, even Earl plays a role in this competition i guess, how NOT to play 14.1Good grief, Glenn -- we got Earl frippin' Strickland shooting on a free stream.
What's not to like?!
If you can't enjoy it tell the guy standing behind you with a gun to your head forcing you to watch our event to just go ahead and pull the trigger.

Think Earl is going to finally make a 200+ run today?Good grief, Glenn -- we got Earl frippin' Strickland shooting on a free stream.

Lou, don’t give anyone any ideas. This is a volatile situation at best….j/kI guess we'll jump off that bridge when we come to it but given that he chose to quit mid-run I think he may have to pick it up cold from there.

In my opinion his run ended when he walked away. Can a contender quit for the day whenever he feels a little tired or distracted and come back the next day refreshed and ready? That's not 14.1.I guess we'll jump off that bridge when we come to it but given that he chose to quit mid-run I think he may have to pick it up cold from there.

I'm cracking open a bag of popcorn as soon as he finally joins the 200+ clubI don't know that there are any hard and fast rules for something like this, it's really never been done before -- multiple guys going for a high run.
Of course, leave it to Earl to create a "situation," lol. Anyways, it is what it is and if he runs 627 we can all go out and buy ourselves several of those 40 gallon sized bags of popcorn and start a new multi-hundred page thread about whether it was legit or not.

oh, the fun you'll have
Got FB app on TV. Signed in with wife account. Found Legends of Pocket Billiards. See the previous streams (AWESOME!). Will the live stream pop up when it goes live? Thanks.

So when are the straight pool players going to start showing up, you've only had one so far. Watching anyone else playing 14.1 is like having to sit on a dock, seeing someone flailing their arms all over the place just to keep from drowning, and they drown anyway, because they don't know how to swim 10 feet to reach the dock. And the funny thing is, there should have been a sign posted saying DEEP POOL, DON'T enter if you only THINK you know how to swim, there's no lifeguard on duty to save your ass when you finally realize you DONT know how to swim!!!!
this is the first post you've written that i can somewhat agree with. to me, seeing earl play is entertainment more than straight pool indulgement. hope for ruslan to return soon
To put it differently, what I meant by the question is: people are saying Earl is playing straight pool incorrectly in the last few days. Has he always played straight pool this way? I haven’t watched enough of him playing straight pool in the past to knowHow a top professional 14.1 player would approach a tournament match to 150 or whatever as opposed to how they approach this high run challenge is obvious - there’s no comparison as far as strategic differences.
In a tournament match, it’s not a minimum 80% or even a 90%+ to make shot, they’d be looking for a safety. Or in a tournament match, the player may be fore planning to run a number of balls in a rack that is not laid out well before playing a very strong safety.
In this format they are on 100% offense mode, taking advantage of all opportunities to break out balls, even if they are not exactly sure of what kind of shot they may have next..
Sorry, but if you were able to run 480 balls in your past, then you knew how to play the rack patterns to get that high, and no matter how mimics time has passed by, you DON'T forget how the patterns work. Today's Earl, is shooting balls to save face, NOT to run racks. Today's Earl can't get past 200 balls yet, let alone threaten the record of 626To put it differently, what I meant by the question is: people are saying Earl is playing straight pool incorrectly in the last few days. Elephant Man is already taken…It is a good platform for things. Where people get lost in it is trying to put to much crap on their pages and share to much..too many friends, to damn many follows and then drama too. With a legit email and a name you can register and put together the basics of a profile in 30 minutes or less. You don't even have to upload a picture for now to get it started. I would suggest trying use a regular name like your own so if you want to expand on what you are doing with it you are set. Your first few follows should be this event and the billiard academy page.

I hated FB for years and avoided it until I started helping my elderly mother with hers.
Today, this morning we got on there and used video calling for free to talk to some of the GF's relatives in Colombia- Free! With video too. Es loco pero es bueno! ¡Soy el gringo loco que le robó el corazón y el coño a su nieta también jaja!

I wouldn't worry about it, unless Earl's getting paid to run balls, he'll be quiting shortly. By the fact that he giving lessons instead of running balls, and quiting instead of finishing out a run, is showing all the signs of being to distracted/frustrated to continue on much longer.... or so.
