Dennis Orcullo banned from USA for five years

I wonder if all the cancelled flights had anything to do with it....?:(

Or did this happen earlier than last week?

This has been standard practice for years with ICE. In the US on a work or student visa and miss a deadline? Bye.

This ridiculousness is why ICE needs to be circumcised.

A number of people plon this very forum complain about "illegals" but will also complain that their buddies at ICE booted a pool player.

Hopefully he can get it sorted but they typically don't appeal visa violations

How predictable for someone to interject politics in to this thread.
Sadly it all comes down to politics....federal government is encouraging on our freedoms.

This poor guy...a world class athlete from a friendly country and we ban him.

The word is 'encroaching' and this is not that. Dennis is not a US resident. There are rules/laws that cover this that have been on the books for some time. I'd say its DO's fault. As long as he's been coming here you'd think he'd know that it was about up.

Most common V is a B1/B2 that's good for 10yrs and allows one to say for 6mos. at a time. A one-day overstay is automatic cancellation.

Back to being a fisherman sleeping in abandoned cars....life is cruel

No argument about the laws/rules. However, it does suck that a well known guy in his industry, who spends months at a time here, buying goods and services and contributing to our economy, as well as the entire pool profession, gets booted for 5 years. I am assuming he will be into his mid to late 40's?

I wonder if there is a system of warnings/strikes? It would be easier to understand the 5 year ban if he had prior infractions or warnings...
