So just to confirm - now that John Schmidt has lost his title and everyone involved in that process got what they wanted - they're done?
Or did I miss new players being scheduled?

Come on, it was for the love of the game.So just to confirm - now that John Schmidt has lost his title and everyone involved in that process got what they wanted - they're done?
Or did I miss new players being scheduled?
Nope. We will continue on with scheduling players and have a long list of World Champions that will be playing soon.So just to confirm - now that John Schmidt has lost his title and everyone involved in that process got what they wanted - they're done?

I thought I heard there were others interested but it's been crickets a couple players have put their schedule back a little bit because 714 is a huge number but we have many that will be playing. The excitement will be continuing and I hope everyone has enjoyed it so far.
I can see selling the cloth, with autographs on it, but why sell "THE" table that the 714 was achieved on if other players will come along later to make attempts.
You would think all subsequent attempts would be done on the very same table.
You completely missed the point as usual.Endurance! 65 years vs 32 months vs 6 weeks, hrmph!
Like 2 farts in a whirlwind vs Mosconi, 65 years, now that’s endurance!
Is it just my imagination or does that tiny bit of mainstream press that Schmidt got now seem huge compared to what the latest record generated.
My theory is that Schmidt was the guy who beat a 60+ year old record of The Legendary (and household name) Mosconi. Every thing after is just some guy the general public has never heard of making more balls than the last guy they never heard of.
I'm not judging or making a hidden statement, just making an observation about pool as a mainstream news topic.

Do they come with Pro cut pockets?Cant you just see someone that owns Mosconi’s table, Schmidt’s table, Shaw’s table and the next couple of they happen.
Kind of like a car collection.
Giving someone a tour, Willie ran 526 on this one, John ran 626 on this, Jayson ran 714 on this, and so on and so on.
Most people will just say “Oh, that’s nice,, excuse me, where’s your bathroom?”
Now tell me, wouldn’t you want each table?
I can’t believe the Glenn’s aren’t jumping on it and beating Glen to the punch.
I think it hurt any possible news coverage that the recording was kept secret so it couldn't be replayed. Bobby didn't even release a montage of key shots that could be used for media interest. Perhaps 60 minutes will show it on their upcoming episode, but that's months after the actual event.
They were talking about Gorst and Filler making attempts, and Chinakhov and SVB coming back for another try. I believe some of those were supposed to happen in late January and February.I can see selling the cloth, with autographs on it, but why sell "THE" table that the 714 was achieved on if other players will come along later to make attempts.

Check out a little thread called “shaws 714 table .”Wait, what? They sold the table? Huh?
