Best looking wood combinations

I know this is purely opinion, but what woods look the best to you together? I'm a personal fan of ebony with almost anything, but what about other combos? I'd like to possibly have another cue made with green, orange, and maybe maple veneers.

I was thinking ebony forearm and butt sleeve with ebony in long points and maple in low points with a maple handle? I don't know what do you think would look cool with the green and orange?

Your veneers made me think old school and ebony points compliment that so much better
than would an ebony forearm. There are many woods to choose from if you go ebony points.
Get in touch with Bob Owen and ask him to direct you to his wood choices and wood he can
also fabricate. It is more than startling, if not outright amazing. If you go with an ebony for the
forearm, I think you limit your choices a whole lot more. Just talk with the cue maker you’ll use.

Maybe I am weird Titlists Conversions, they do not go out of style.

Rosewood, Ebony, Purpleheart, and Oak.

Oak is though to find.

TitlistSucker from Asia had best collection of conversions.👍

Maple and Ebony is too obvious.

I'm a big fan of the combinations often used by Southwest; purpleheart, goncalo alves, pau ferro, various rosewoods.

ebony does make everything pop a bit more
cant go wrong really
I am in the minority but I think that all ebony does is provide contrast. Some of the woods that are paired with it might stand out or pop as you say but it does not highlight the wood at all especially figured woods with many colors. I sort of hate ebony in cues to be honest and think it clashes horribly with some woods.

Cocobolo and Olive wood. Beautiful combination.

Interesting might be my favorite too. Getting cues made currently by Shelby William and IQ Cues in Greece that will use this combo. I think Olivewood is the most unappreciated wood for cues in the world. It looks in most cases as good as any burl.

One of the Cue I recently saw for sale on AZB, was Southwest, Goncolo into Goncolo, Veenerrs made it all pop into wow factor.

I love ebony and purpleheart. My first two cues were ebony with PH points. Only caveat is that cues with PH are much harder to sell in my experience.

I've got 2 ebony and figured purple heart sneakies being made right now.

It's a very nice combo

Looks are subjective, but the wild grained pieces have to be treated like burl. I really like olive as well. I don't make cues but have been collecting squares for trying my hand at it. I have one piece of olive that's just different from the ~50 squares I've held in my hands. It is on the denser side and super resonant. Don't know that it makes it better per se, but how could I not but it?

Tony at Garerra Cues in Utah has one of best set of 👀, IMHO for pairing up wood to make wow factor Cues.

But he also has very very figured wood to make magic happen.

No web site, he is on Facebook.

Woops, this one
