Does anyone other than Bob Jewett know who this guy is? He gave me my first pool lesson in 1963.
Hint, he was also a referee at the Johnston City tournaments.

I wish I had been smart enough at the time to have gone to him for lessons. He is also mentioned in Playing Off The Rail.

I heard he had a notebook full of info. I wonder what happened to it.

Bob, I like you wish that I had paid more attention to what he was trying to teach me. Unfortunately I along with all the other foolish youngsters were more interested in blasting the balls around with our newly acquired 21oz Hoppe cues (which I still have to this day.)

I remember hearing about his notebook but he wasn’t using it the night he was attempting to work with me. I remember he was trying to teach me the benefits of shooting softly and breaking up clusters, Most of which was lost on me at the time.
 
old time likeable top road player with lots of character. pretended to work on tugboats. thats how he got his name.

never knew that he gave lessons. usually when they start that they have gotten broke or cant play anymore.

I laugh people are obsessed with Deanoc, maybe they need to realize he is not interested in being on the forum.

Deanoc has a life outside of AZB, plus is still doing business with old customers who like the guy.🥰

Cowboy what don't you understand about that he scammed a bunch of people and you still think he is a saint?
If he cheated you it would be OK?

thanks for defending me coco i am getting a new batch of cues made by ginacue no pictures 900 per cue iam sending them out now you get one free where is that black boar I had sitting on the table?
