Political signs at a pool hall? Would you give them your money? Please no politics please just answer the question

It's a business owner's prerogative to display their support for anything that they wish. Just as much as it is the customer's prerogative to support the business, or not.

A sign on the wall shouldn't necessarily be a strong deterrent, though it does provide some idea of the like-minded clientele who may frequent the establishment. If that makes you uncomfortable, you are not obligated to support the business.

Personally, differing political opinions would not necessarily deter me from supporting a business. Unless, of course, those opinions came to light through conversation. A sign is one thing. Conversation is another. The slippery slope, is knowing that displaying a sign will ultimately lead to conversation.

So I'm curious I don't want any politics talks I just want an answer to this question. But let's say you went to a pool hall and there were signs saying let's go Brandon. That phrase let's go Brandon also means to F Joe Biden. That happened to me tonight. I went to a pool hall and there were several signs That said that. And I'm just curious if you would be giving The Establishment your money if they had signs like that that showed their political beliefs? For me is that was the only issue I really wouldn't care. But with the other issues I've had with this place in how the management runs it. It almost would be.
Simple answer, no. Have already done it with other business. No debates, they have a right to their views. I have a right to who I support with my money.

I cannot imagine any pool hall that would want to alienate about 50% of their potential business one way or the other. Remember what happened to Hillary when she called half the country deplorable? Did not do her any good, nor did it help our country which she thought she could lead...

I would not give a poolhall owner a cent if they had signs like that up.
There are always other places to play.

I have seen enough to not bother about political garbage. Republicans and Democrats work closely together if they can screw you out of your hard earned dollars. Take a look at the "renewable energy" industry to see who are working together to usurp farmlands to site solar panels. Mega billion dollars in subsidies involved. Take care of yourselves before you worry about political bullshit.

The ridiculous part is those with signs like this (either side) think they are making a political statement. These signs are not about politics. They are about politicians.

My experience is the majority of people with these signs can not separate liking/disliking a political point of view vs liking/disliking the person.

As long as people don't try to talk to me about politics while i was shooting pool i wouldn't care about it.

Agreed. politics, race, gender...

All you little people pick a side and argue about it while the govt f***s us all.

I think a private business can do whatever they want in terms of political statements in their establishment. As an American citizen, each of us can do whatever we want in terms of patronizing an establishment, based on their political stance. Life is all about choices. Thank God we live in America.

It is said to bad subjects to bring into business, or conversation are.

Politics

This discussions in 2022 seem to not go well, people become uncivil.

I go to a pool hall to play pool and see my friends, not to listen to, or read, anyone’s political views.

And I have many friends that are ardent supporters of the former WH occupant whereas I’ve despised
him since the early 70’s after he joined daddy’s RE business. I was born and raised in NYC. So my take
is shaped by my own life experiences just as much theirs is. And I indulge their ignorance just as much
as I’m sure they do mine when it comes to politics. Know what? We don’t talk politics and if the topic
happens to come up because something just came on the TV, I just walk away because it never leads to
anything good. Ever notice that to prove their point, the majority of people do 3 things: they talk faster,
talk louder and repeat themselves. None of the aforementioned contribute to a reasonable discussion of
the topic so why bother? Unless someone is willing to try and be open minded, it turns into a fool’s errand.

But like so many things, political debates are judged on who won which means someone lost. And none
of us want to be a loser in anything, let alone in the presence of others we know. Nope, I’d stop going to a
pool hall if the owner wanted to espouse & impose his political beliefs on its patrons. Pool is pool…Nuf Ced.

It's sad that people have become so willfully ignorant and combative. It's almost painful to see just how proud people are of their manufactured outrage and opinions and "sides". The collective dumbing down of our society makes progress almost impossible, and keeps those in control laughing all the way to the bank.
That said, I would suck it up and just smile and nod as I attempted to take their $$ at the tables.

I would have to say no. My favorite restaurant put a political slogan in their window two years ago.
I haven't been back since.

I thought it was there so the business would not get burned down during riots, but seeing there are no more riots and the slogan is still up covering the entire front of the business windows it's stupid.

Great food too, its a shame.

Can't we go out to eat or play pool without someone else's stupid political beliefs in our face.

For the record I consider everyone's political beliefs to be stupid.
