Carbon Fiber Butt with Carbon Fiber Shaft

I have tried the hit using my Cynergy shaft on my Carbon Break Butt …..it was significantly stiffer than my uncored SugarTree Bocote. i got similar results with a maple shaft.

What break cue do you have? The Breach break cue is maple butt.

I had a Becue with both Prime and 5.1 shafts on a cf butt. On my 8ft+ practice table, it was as good as anything I have used. The little extension made it 63" which was great on the bigger table, but poor on barboxes which is my league standard.

If you get a chance use one for long enough to make an informed judgement, I think it will be positive.

it's not the arrow...... it's the indian
When you mist use that old horse puckery, you label yourself as maple-cored lol.

The arrow, and the bow, have advanced far more than the pool shooter, your Indian, has. Give one indian an old wood and sinew bow and give another a 21st century bow. Separate them 100 yards, give them era appropriate arrows and tell them the survivor is the US Open champ.

Did you remember to tell them "its the indian..."?

The Becue website says there are advantages to using a carbon fiber butt with a carbon fiber shaft. Anyone with thoughts or experience with this?

I am considering this option myself. They have done a lot of research and have been producing CF shafts since 2016.

Add to that the Italians are well known for producing high quality products in many other areas. Just look at their auto industry and the cycling industry both utilizing carbon fiber..

Then their is the women... Can you say Sofia?? Mama Mia!!!

That guy doesn't believe you can make a low-deflect. cf shaft either. Some either are clueless or just afraid to accept new tech.

I just hit for a bit with a full carbon fiber cue, it was a break cue, but I also stuck a playing shaft on it. No idea what the benefit would be past how the hits feel and balance are, same as with any other cue butt. The shaft does all the work and much of the hit feel, I don't see how the butt construction material can add to anything in a cue as far as the performance goes, break or playing cue.

I like that can you choose a few different lengths for the shaft AND the butt. That's awesome.

I have a Becue all CF cue and shaft. It plays OK but I like my Predator Ikon 4-1 with 12.4 Revo much better.

david tickle make a cf butt for 250 and sells cf shafts for 250
they come in more colors than black, all look pretty neat

The advantage of a CF butt would be zero warpage. Since it's a hollow tube manufactures could locate the balance point anywhere they want it or make some system to change the balance point ourselves. Make the weight to the gram or make an adjustable weight system.

Cons are the can we put a wrap on it? Design wise just looking at CF would get ugly real fast. But i mean they could paint something on like tennis racquets?

The big thing is price, can they make it cheap enough for the average pool player to purchase. Most shafts are $300-500. It also require more material and hence would cost more to make. I'd assume a butt itself might just be in the $700 it self.
