Robustness would be how many game entrys to the system.

Yes. A Fargo rating isn't exact - it's "X, plus or minus Y". The rating's robustness tells you how small Y is - the more games it's based on, the smaller Y is.

ALL ratings/rankings are plus/minus a standard deviation. I find fargorate to be about +/- 30 for "established" players. It's by no means ultra accurate due to the simple fact that the data used includes so many different types of games and equipment sizes.
Do others include player-specific "deviation ratings" like Fargo's robustness score? I admire that transparency.

If you played someone a year ago, and you beat them and since then they improved and went up 50 points then it will increase your rating as well.
Ages ago, I remember one of their staff commented on their Facebook page and said it uses 2 years of data, but older data counts as 50% or something like it.
They have never fully detailed how it works on their website, but that is also to protect their model I guess.
Anyway, seems to be the global standard these days.
A lot better than some other handicap systems I have seen.

Well I was looking up two brother who both play well Fargo numbers.
One is 585, other is 626.
So I do not know how much better parties are apart.

Are you sure it is not racks played in Fargo rated tournaments?
Shane has a robustness of over 17,000.
Would take a long time to play 17,000 matches.

I would think a person can easily play +/- 30 even playing on the same table every day. Table size does not matter because both players that the Fargo games are scored for are playing on the same table. I probably play my Fargo number all the way to -100 game to game.

To the best of my knowledge FR has a 50 point +/- swing, that's according to reading Mike Page's posts.
