Anyone bought a Pro Am 7’ recently.

I know I should have bought one a year or so ago before the price increase.

What’s the price now?

Wonder if they have and previously played tournament tables since the Derby actually happened since Covid.

Diamond don't use 7ft ProAms at the DCC. They don't use them in any tournaments, they use the smart tables.
Where are you located?

Never noticed or looked very close but why the Smart table? It’s just a coin op version of the ProAm isn’t it?

Come to super billiards expo in Philadelphia this weekend.
You can buy a used 7 footer there and trailer it home.
Call Aaron at Diamond....will be 800 or so off MSRP.

They use the ProAms in the trade show booths for some of the vendors.

Yes, thats why its called the smart table, because it isn't the ProAm.

Really? Thanks for the obvious answer. Hard to tell with internet responses but seems like you are being a smart A$$. If you aren’t I apologize.

I was asking a legit question. For a tournament why would you need a coin op table but maybe that’s a question for a different thread.

Thanks.

Are you assuming ALL tournaments charge a greens fee? What about the APA and BCA playoffs, do they charge a greens fee, or coins? Here's something else to consider, smart tables are built and sold about 25 to 1 compared to the proams, which model to you think Diamond has mostly on hand?

At the DCC, all the tables are the 9’ smart tables. They are set to free during the tournament hours. At the end of the last round each day, they all switch to coin opp for all the gamblers.

I’d imagine many other big tournaments are run the same way. This allows extra income without the hassle of a “house man” to collect money and give out trays of balls all night.

What I’m going to suggest applies to anything.

Buy it now if you can, nothing is going to be less money later on down the road.

Forget the past numbers, just causes heart burn. It’s over with, ship left the dock. Trust me I sold a car 18 months ago that’s worth $200k more now and didn’t buy a few things that now cost more🤯

Just buy what you can afford and enjoy.

Best

The production of the smart tables is equal to about 90% of what Diamond builds, sells, and distributes. ProAms are not used in tournaments because Diamond don't have many requests to sell tournament used ProAms, so why would they build a used table inventory of tables that don't sell as fast as the smart tables do?

That’s what I was looking for.

Thanks
