She definitely could live to old age, with some luck. I know a few people that have beat cancer and enjoyed a ripe age.

I hope Jeanette does just that!
 
As I've mentioned before on threads similar to this one if I can kick throat cancer ( P -16 HPV ) to the curb anyone can it's been close to 4 1/2 year's since my last treatment .
A positive mental attitude helps immensely which Jeanette darn sure has so this is a walk in the park for her .
Jeanette when I talk to the guy upstairs I always put in a good word for you and your family so stay strong you'll get to ring the bell before you know it after you're last treatment just like I have !
 
So unfortunate regarding the car accident. She's had to endure a tremendous amount of hardship in her life and deserves a lot of compliments for her resilience.

Amazing things happen! A cousin I didn't see often was one of the fairly early cases of aids, a drug user although he maintained a respectable career also. Death rate was knocking on the door of 100%, especially if you weren't very rich and famous. I didn't see or hear anything about him for years, assumed he had died and I hadn't heard. Passed by his old home one day and there he was out front washing his car! He lived another ten years or so, several decades maybe three, with HIV, then tripped over his toes and hit his head to die within a few feet of where I first saw him still alive!

We never know what the cards hold for us and all we can do is be grateful for what we get and wish others the best. Rusty, I am very glad that the Man decided you have more seasons to run.

Hu isn't it amazing how thing's work out for some and not for others ???
I figure the only reason why I'm still alive is a long time ago I figured that to many folks acted as if someone had just pee'd in there shoes and they didn't know what to do about it !
So I decided to try and make everyone smile even if they don't want to when I go to a Dr's appointment I make the nurses fist bump me then flip over there hand when I give them a lifesaver then mention it's a little something to sweeten their sour disposition with a smile and I'll normally get a smile .
Tonight I drove into town to pickup a prescription and the lady in front of me when I dropped the lifesaver into her hand I got a wonderful smile in return .
When leaving the store I heard a woman's voice thanking me for making her day better she said with a smile !
When it's my time to go to the other camp I don't want anyone crying over me I want them to smile and laugh and drink a beer for me and tell jokes !
