Then do what we did. I started with my families YMCA membership. They had a 3c table, one 9' pool table and a bumper pool table. While my brothers sucked up chlorine in the swimming pool, I played pool. Several nights a week if I could.Table time is expensive. A lot of people can just barely afford the table time, if they can afford it at all, and they don't have money beyond that to buy a high tech shaft.
Then in '72 I dodged the draft by joining the Navy. Every barrack had a pool table and when I arrived at NAS Miramar I found that they had a full blown pool hall. Can't remember ever not playing for lack of table time.
