Yes, Ewa did. This is the first time I watched Jean play. I really like her style and she has a great stroke.

The Classic Cup was put on by Harold Simonsen (Shari Stauch's dad) and was one of the best tournaments of the year, held annually outside Chicago (Aurora I believe). Harold owned Harold's Billiards and created (along with Shari) Pool & Billiard magazine. Happy to say Harold is still around, betting the horses and supporting pool. He and the crew at Metro TV in Chicago enlisted me to be part of the television crew for this match and the men's final between Mike Sigel and Mark Jarvis. It was shown live in the Chicago area and someone actually recognized me at the airport a couple of days later. I was thrilled. That show got me started doing pool commentary and I continued doing TV jobs here and there for the next twenty some odd years. Some of them have been lost to the TV archives or the tapes have been reused for other shows. C'est la vie. I'm glad we saved this one.

Great job although those scenes with the tall guy were a major fashion error. :)

Steve Anton was 6'6" (or 6'7") and a former high school and college basketball player. I needed a step stool next to him. A great guy though and excellent co-com. He let me describe the action and filled the gaps in between.
