That was a George cue. I verified that with Johnny Archer today. I bought Kim’s Szam directly from him in 08 I think was the year. I’ve known Kim since 85. He used the Szam from 83or 84 up until I bought it. The George cue for a couple years in between Johnny told me today. They travelled a lot back then, so I know it’s accurate information. You know, something I've noticed watching all these old Accustat videos...the old time greats' PSRs include lots of measuring strokes, almost as long as the execution stroke...in Kim Davenport's case LOTS of measuring strokes. Miz, Segal, Varner, Buddy, just about everybody did similar. Most of the top guys today feather a couple of times, hold at the CB and basically one stroke it. I wonder why? You could blame the older nap cloth, but I'm not buying it.
This match had some sick outs in it...I never saw Jimmy Fusco play before, he really was a grinder! Buddy and Billy never mentioned him winning the One Pocket at Johnson City, I guess contemporary viewers would have known that...Looked like Kim was playing with some sort of high end Joss model, instead of his trusty Szam. Anybody know who made Jimmy's cue? Never seen one like that...

Not a clue. It looked like a pretty juicy cue tho. Some east coast guys here must know. I knew Kim for years and knew he mostly played with his szam but I also knew he switched for a couple years. I wasn’t sure what he switched over to, so I called Johnny yesterday-I knew he knew. So that solved that mystery. One mystery solved, thank you.
What cue was Jimmy using?? It's very hard to tell from the old video but it looks like an interesting design.
Thanks
Jimmy was a Joss fan. Not sure about what’s used in this matchOne mystery solved, thank you.

Billy Incardona is surely the best commentator that America has ever produced. Jeremy Jones is the Billy of this generation.Billy and Buddy are commentary gold. Could listen to those two all day.
