Jayson Shaw is going for a new personal best high run!!!

What's the current high run for him today?
There are two videos on the website now for today, but they both seem to have the same play. I went through one of them at 10-minute intervals looking for high counts on the scoreboard, and the highest I found was the last run -- 10 racks plus the break ball, so that would be 141. It looked like 3 other runs over 100 as well.

Jayson never looked sharked to me. And if it was phone messages then guess what, put the phone away. If you checking messages in the middle of a run you are sharking yourself. Don’t blame someone else
Jason had his whole family with him and HAD to keep his phone on for emergencies.

He’s resting now.
He’ll be back at it later👍

My point is this accomplishment is like being a World Class Hula Hoop Champ. You got bragging rights, maybe a Ginnis Record, but nothing to pay the rent, put gas in car or fre family.

The Old joke is True today, what is difference between Pro Pool Player, and XL Papa John Pizza.

ANSWER IS: You can feel family with Pizza.
Not really, anyone can take an accomplishment. And parlay it into something with a little luck. Look at Miz.

Alan "Ollie" Gelfand used to skateboard in my back yard with my nephew. He did pretty good from skateboarding. He has a car dealership. True he went on to other things but it started with the skateboard.
Google him he is an interesting guy.

If the day ever comes that a txt would get “into my head” stick a fork in me. I’m certain Jayson is much the same. As are most successful people.

Yes.

It’s a funny thing. Some folks think that kind of thing works. But not everyone is that weak.

Before he came back he was not even close to 714. His high run may have been lightning striking. He may never do it again.

It is not knowable.

As I said somewhere before, this whole thing could play out a lot of different ways and discovering which way it goes adds it’s own layer of interest to the proceedings.

Most aren’t that weak imo. Anyone who’s achieved any level of success and is self made like Jayson is very unlikely that weak.

That’s the whole idea

A layer of interest to the proceedings

Miz was a very smart biz man and teacher as well. Was that just luck? The Kmart deal was his biggest payday-he told me. I asked.

Pool gave Mizz one of the greatest assets you can get, contacts. That's what Fame does even if what you're famous at has no real monetary rewards. It's what you take with that and what you do with that.

I'm betting you know that more than anybody. You probably have more contacts than all of us on this whole forum put together.

That's the biggest interest can he do it again, can he even come close, or was it a one-time fluke never to be reproduced.

I’d guess never, even if you slugged the rack. The CB path hits the rack then follows down to the end rail and back out. If you’re thin enough you can either follow through the rack or the follow takes and you’re mid tablish.
Guess we’ll never know. Maybe, with the cloth tapped-in, an absolutely precise triangle, new measured/polished balls, alignment pencil lines, etc., template conditions could be duplicated (?). Just saying, is removing a risk issue that was once a traditional part of the game really beneficial?
