Hsunami vs OB Pheonix vs Josey Java

Hsunami
little deflection /great feel
have not tried the others
would be using it if i didnt switch to revo
still think about using it from time to time

Another vote for Richard Hsu. The shaft he made for me was perfect, both tip diameter and weight. He did a perfect job matching the ringwork to my Tascarella. I like this shaft much better than the CF shafts I have tried, as it responds like my original maple shaft (it is maple) and has enough LD qualities to fit my game.

I'm going to go with Runde. I found out Bob Runde is making 10 kiel wood shafts a month before he retires. Being I shoot Schon cues exclusively I had to have him match one up for my current models. I've been shooting it for about 6 weeks now and I couldn't be happier. I shot CF shafts for over 5 years and, while I will be the first to admit their technology and performance is unsurpassed, I was missing the feel of wood. After researching kiel wood shafts, I ordered a Hsunami and the Runde. Bob got me my shaft in a month. I'm still waiting for the Hsunami.
My Runde shaft is 12mm, pro taper, with a one inch ferule and silver ring collar to match my Schons. Bob uses Wizard tips exclusively. It's a little harder than the Everest tips I put on all my shafts, but I'm keeping it on for now as it hasn't affected my playing (and my shop is too hot to be doing tip work, for now).

Thanks, I also play with Schon and didn’t realize that was an option. Was shortening the ferrel an option? I’m looking for LD as possible.

Bob also makes 1/2" ferules. I wanted the traditional look for my Schons. Contact Tristan Rouse via FB messaging for ordering or questions.
