Concert type ear plugs

Break shots can still be pretty loud. In a small room at home my 16 mph break is louder than my .22 rifle outside.
I always Plug my ears when my opponent breaks.
Worked many years in auto/truck repair and always plugged my ears when walking by, when the air wrenches were in use, especially the 1/2''.

Is that because their ear buds have synced with the house music system somehow? Or is it there own music from their phone?
Their own (which would likely have to be turned up pretty loud in order to drown out the room music).

Not sure what concert type means but here are some that I use while running the weedeater and mower. Noise canceling plus. Not expensive either.

MQES Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Earbuds,in-Ear Headphones Bluetooth 5.2, Built-in 4mics Earphones,Touch Control, ANC and ENC, IPX5 Waterproof, 30H Playtime, for iPhone & Android White MQ-01B https://a.co/d/6WNHvjY
I have ordered a pair of these for several reasons. I need a new pair for my phone and they seem like they might work both to hear music and not. I ordered them in black hoping they might not stand out quite as much as white.. Different things work and sometimes not. I will post a note after having them for a while with my review..

Thanks to everyone for their time and advice. It is really appreciated!

I know alot of guys that like custom molded plugs for shooting. I'm going get some for trap shooting. I'm going to get them from the local audiologist office.

I did order and receive a pair of ear buds. The second time I used them they shut themselves off every five minutes. Tried factory reset and the issue continued. Then the reality set in..
They supply you an 800 number but it is not available. A sub contracting firm answered and said they no longer take calls or supply support those products.

I dug deeper and found an email link directly to the company. That bounced back to me as undeliverable.. So no customer support at all..

Thankfully I bought them through Amazon and back they go on Monday..

Looking at an Anker ear bud system next. They have support and back there product...

I will post about those later in the week.

3 M classic yellow foam earplugs
These are my favorite & I have worn dozens of types of plugs&muffs . 43 years worth. Always have in the cue case & car ,truck & camper. I sleep most nights with them . They don’t completely stop all sound just knock it down. 33db rated if properly fitted. Mine were supplied at work.

I bought a box.... use them when wood working sometimes.... The dust collector noise is damaging.

I downloaded a decibel app before leagues last week.

It read between 115 and 120 decibels which it said was equal to a loud rock concert. 140 can cause nose bleeds..

My left ear is already damaged and I have no intention of damaging my right ear for anyone, certainly not just to play pool...

I'm leaving at 100 decibels.

that's too loud. tell mgmt to turn it down.

It is ridiculous. Speaking to a teammate sitting right next to you is almost impossible without yelling at them..

Leaving is not possible I gave the team my word that I would play. I had no idea the owners would allow the bartenders to turn it up as they see fit. That appears to be the issue at this place..

I agree with you though at 100 I would be out the fuking door too!

And what's worse if your in a room that has hard walls, not only does the sound go thru you, but it caroms off the wall and comes back again/again. It's tough on anyone to play all day into the money rounds, then the pm crowd/sound/whatever blossoms/the patrons that pay the rent get their way. When it's the money rounds and your head is NOT likin' it.

Your correct. It is a small place as well the ten nine foot tables take up most of the space.. Hopefully the Anker ear plugs will be a big improvement. The ANC system can be adjusted in the pair I ordered and they do have support. The first pair were pretty much useless. They did help a bit but then began shutting off every five minutes...It went to standard ear plugs at that point just to get through the night..
