But as far as I'm concerned if your a pro you should be able to adapt. Everyone should be able to adapt after a couple of games. It's not like they are new anymore.
I agree completely with this statement.
I also have to say I fully detest ALL the non-traditional ball colors - seriously, pink?!? what is this the breast-cancer awareness ball? AND, what color is that tan/brown/caramel Mississippi Mud ball? AND, the hue of green just looks like neon-puke - but, I also recognize that I am a grumpy "Get Off Of My Lawn" kind of guy; and, I don't like change... unless I approve it first LOL!
I also agree that the rational behind the color change is spurious at best; and, would appear to be motivated more by a desire to institute change for the sake of instituting change - rather then to address a critical problem requiring a change and providing an enhanced benefit.
On the other hand, I feel the "Measles Cue Ball" was a boon to showing spin, especially during slow-motion replay - so, no issues there; being a change which provided a direct benefit for the TV viewers.
Sad to say, I also agree - from my unenlightened opinion - that the whole color-change thing appears to be based more on forcing a unique visual trademark on a thing, and, $elling more ball sets.
Whatever, the whole thing is an unnecessary giant pain-in-the-ass, if you ask me. - GJ
