Predator World 8 Ball Championship (Nov 19-22), Puerto Rico, Winner $60K

2nd semifinal Shaw v Zielinski, 2 of the fastest shooters in the pool business. Hold onto your seats and don't blink, enjoy the ride
Semifinalists guaranteed $20K, finalist is minimum $40K so this match is worth $20K

Wonder why there are so many gaps in the streaming? Maybe they were unsure of exactly how long each of these 8-ball matches would take since its been a long time since its been played in a tournament format? Not complaining, just curious.
The CSI matches are always spaced out by quite a bit. I’d like to see them schedule matches closer together. I often watch fewer of their matches because I get distracted in the 1-2 hour gap between them.

Amazing how strong Poland has been in the past month alone.

At the just-completed Puerto Rico 10-ball, Maciol won silver. At the International 9-ball, Zielinski won silver. At the American 14.1, Zielinski won silver and Fortunski won bronze.

The Poles play all the games well. Zielinski, I sense, is the one with the brightest future.

Last paragraph deleted due to inaccuracy.

Zielinski and also the current World 10-Ball Champion, Wojciech Szewczyk.

Also, take note of Szymon Kural (745) from Krakow. He turned 18 a few months ago and just yesterday won World Jr 9-Ball event in Puerto Rico.

It was Shaw over Zielinski in the final of the International 9-ball, but not here, as Zielinski turns the tables and takes Jayson down in the semifinals. Exciting match!
I wasn't able to watch the whole match but from what I saw, Zielinski's break was working and Jayson's not so much. Accurate?

Zielinski is about to play in his third final in just a month.

10/29/2022 Lost final of the American 14.1 to Jungo
11/5/2022 Lost final of the International 9-ball to Shaw
11/22 .... well we shall see!

Best of luck to this rising star.

Am I alone in likening Zielinski to a young Johnny Archer? He's got a big break, a lot of firepower, a big frame and he gets your attention quickly with his powerful game. For what it's worth, Johnny was born in 1968 and was World Champion by 1992.

What were his rules? I liked the IPt rules. Ball in Kitchen after scratch on break, no mixed combos on open table, scratch on 8 loses.
Then go back to 1 ball 15 ball in side pockets, spot a ball after scratches. Could go on for weeks, that’s the way we played in the 50’s

How does a kid this young learn to handle the pressure. It has to be suffocating but he seems oblivious to it
