That's a great idea! I'm going to try that.Hi everyone,
I am stuck with a 7 footer because of space. Recently I started playing 9.1 straight pool (because 14 balls is to cluttered). With 10 balls in a normal rack this game works pretty well.
Anyway happy holidays!
Sounds like it could be a good way to learn the game - less traffic, easier end patterns. Like the new name too.Great idea! I've never heard of that variation being played but it makes perfect sense on a 7'.
It's fun to put a 6 ball rack at one end and on the break spot, make a 4 ball diamond, your break shot can be either one that you declare before potting the next to last ball.Hi everyone,

Fast change proof you kids too.Sounds like it could be a good way to learn the game - less traffic, easier end patterns. Like the new name too.

It’s a fun idea. Practiced like this many times since I had a Connelly 7’ table (actually slightly smaller than a 7’ table ) for 20+ years.Hi everyone,

Sorry, I don't speak... whatever that is.Fast change proof you kids too.
To me anyway. The .1 throws my addition off. Where does that ball go?Sorry, I don't speak... whatever that is.
pj <- but I bet it's funny

You mean where in the rack? Just a normal 10-ball rack (not 9.1 balls)...To me anyway. The .1 throws my addition off. Where does that ball go?
I plan on giving it a try as well. I love to practice 14.1 on our 7’ Diamond just for a change. Shotmaking is never a problem on the smaller table, but there always seems too be something that comes up that prevents me from stringing more than 2-3 racks.Hi everyone,

No just in the score. 9, 18, 27 etc... Somebody's getting rich. You mean where in the rack? Just a normal 10-ball rack (not 9.1 balls)...

last ball always stays on the table, so each rack is only 9 balls. No just in the score. 9, 18, 27 etc... Somebody's getting rich.
It's worse with 14.1. lol. I need flash cards.last ball always stays on the table, so each rack is only 9 balls.
Yeah, it's fun and break shots can come from almost anywhere.I plan on giving it a try as well. I love to practice 14.1 on our 7’ Diamond just for a change.
