Dan Harriman's Cue Sports Prep Academy

Maybe if I had a blind fold on and handcuffed with a pool cue sticking out of my ass maybe you would go to the academy then...?

Maybe...but not anymore.

Professor Justin left me hanging. All I wanted was to be part of the smart math guy pool community, but it's like I don't even exist to him.

Maybe logical will let me apply to his thingy. I hope. I'm just gonna cry it off.

You're in.

This is going much better than my high school enterprise...Logical's Home for Wayward Teenage Girls.

Project assignment: Can your program solve paths using no rails, 1 rail, 2 rails, 3 rails and the point of a pocket? Instead of aiming from the OB to the pocket, iterate from the pocket center back to the OB starting point.

If you like this type of work continue preparing your application for the BIA gateway programs CIA or CPA.

How do I calculate angles and ball paths on a pool table?

ChatGPT (an actual working AI says):

To calculate angles and ball paths in pocket billiards, you need to understand geometry, specifically angles and vectors. Here are some steps you can follow:

  1. Visualize the trajectory of the cue ball (CB) and the object ball (OB) in your mind.
  2. Draw a line between the center of the CB and the center of the OB.
  3. Determine the angle between the line you just drew and the rail. This angle is called the "cue ball angle."
  4. Calculate the angle of reflection, which is equal to twice the cue ball angle.
  5. Use vector mathematics to find the trajectory of the CB and OB after impact.
  6. Practice makes perfect! The more you play, the better you will become at visualizing ball paths and making accurate shots.
Note: This is a simplified explanation and there are more advanced techniques to consider, such as English (spin) on the CB, rail cushion speed, and more.

I was telling them about YOUR program, you wingnut.

Damn bro, try to keep up.

Since I'm the only person in my house without any advanced degrees I'm thinking of enrolling in one of these stellar academy's, but first I have a few questions. Since it appears the curriculum is almost identical at both academy's it will come down to the following:

What kind of rum do you have at the bar.
What cab's are on the reserve list.

We offer a full bar of premium burbon and scotch as well as gin and vodka. I am limited on rum and wine because we didn't anticipate women joining the program.

Forward your transcript for a free sample placement at the Academy. Social life is based on your access and affordability to nyc locations.

Currently I am busy at the NY historical society museum researching french publications about billiards. If you have advanced reading skills in French you can be listed as a research assistant on the next High Run Society publication/talk.
