I am proposing an organized effort to build a college club organization.
I can launch at Higher Ed Institutions I work with. I am not sure what everyone else here is capable of. Billiards as a sport has to start with billiard clubs.
Are you interested in growing the sport at academic institutions?

What you are doing is using the term Academy to make yourselves seem legitimate.
Then in this very thread you're asking for money.
In the real World, with cops, lawyers, judges this is known as fraud.

The alternative is I have a lot of free time on my hands, intelligence and money.
Registering complaints and reporting fraud to the NYS Education Department is a simple exercise.

College institutions dont have a deployment plan on how to create billiard programs for todays youth. The Harriman Academy is piloting that in for HEIs at the NJCAA level.
Participation in AZB is to find out of there are other interested parties. Are you interested and able to launch or support a college club program in your area?

Because of the subsequent information that's been disclosed about this supposed academy and its fraudulent nature I will be recending my invitation of the Harriman Academy. Myself and the room do not want to be associated with this group in any way.

This is what happened with pro pool in the past. There is too much infighting.
Now American pool is dependent on Matchroom and Predator.
American pool is ready for a rebranding at the college level. The aging pool fans of yesteryear are retiring and dying. Those pool fans and former pros are resources that can be activated to grow the next generation of pool players.
I could host a single day pool event at a Tier 1 college. But that wont bring the type of change for the industry. The billiard industry knows there is a market at the college level however no one is leading that effort.
Mr Harriman is positioning the Academy to help create youth college programs. The main advantage of youth college programs is supervised learning. Too many youth today are dying from many problems causes by failed programs.
The Academy aims to provide pathways for youth to transition into adulthood safely by creating a positive environment safe for player development. It starts with finding out if other colleges suffer problems billiards is uniquely designed to solve.
An empty college room with pool equipment translates into having students form communities and build relationships inside of academic institutions. Creating attraction centers in colleges has ROI. When college students engage in interest based learning the achievement gap shrinks.
In todays world any documented evidence of proven programs that close the achievement gap are investments colleges would be foolish to avoid. One success indicator is attendance and participation.
Currently colleges are losing students due to lack of diverse offerings on campus. The billiards program creates on campus and off campus locations for students to learn how to navigate successfully.
No legitimate investment can be made to illegal pursuits.

It is not satire, just another example of a few people on here trying to trash the reputation of the site.
As soon as he asked for money, with a non registered Academy, it is in the World of fraud.
Dan Harriman is the leader of this attempt.
He has not been on here since yesterday, so we have to deal with the two co-conspirators, Justnum and xradarx.
If Dan is wise, he'll realise this has gone too far and will request for the threads deletion along with references to this Academy that has appeared all over the forum.
