I watered down the paint until it looked a light tan and went from there.That's a lot more subtle than I thought it would be.

My hands stay dry,in fact at my age all my skin is dry.Looks nice, would be interested in how it holds up after a few months of playing. Will it be affected by sweat, .. etc

Cue has Soul!I used sandals as my lathe.
Stuck each end in the toe end of a sandal and rotated the cue with my non painting hand,worked great.
It was this pair.

No I used a 1/2 inch craft brush to apply the stain while spinning the butt on my home made lath, then soaked up the excess with a wash cloth.Probably used an old pair of socks for the rag.
Cost was about $8 to dye it.It's pretty cheap to get a linen wrap done.
