Is the 3 Cushion game picking up like the pool game is?

not so much, basic carom game straight rail, if you can even hit the break shot, balls are all over the table. much harder than shooting at alot of optional balls near one another in 8 ball

thats why americans dont play, its much harder for a beginner to get interested and having fun
Sure game level is an advanced proposition but making a billiard is far less trying than pocketing a ball.

I think the issue with 3C, aside from not being able to find tables easily, is that it is extremely unfriendly to beginners. It seems everyone knows from birth that in pool you shoot the cueball into the ball and the ball goes in the pocket. If a beginner walked up to a 3C table, they can stare and think about it for a month and not figure out the rules or how to play and once they do it will take a very long time to get a hit and a very long time between hits. Due to the difficulty and play style, you almost need to be a B level pool player to start to get close to making a carom more than 1/5th of the time.

Who said runs? Billiards has a softer entry point than pool. A basic billiard is easier to make than a basic shot to a pocket.
a begginer can make a pool break and start making balls because all they need to think is put the ball in the hole ok

a begginer to carom, cannot even make the break shot or a follow up shot with them spread all over the table

ive played both for yrs, ive brought pool players to the carom table often.
its not easier in any way for them
youd know if you ever played straight rail even once

several players that got into 3c, when they try straight rail said its even harder learning curve. on paper it doesnt sound right, but when you have to try and hit the other balls when they are all spread out. you really have to have a great feel to make a point when they are not close. its much harder than it sounds

What has any of that to do with a basic billiard is easier to do than a basic shot to a pocket?
there is no basic carom , in the game they dont just magically end up next to each other for you to make a super easy shot as you think it is. thats the point. its not at all like your trying to make it out.

You place two balls next to each other and have the beginner shoot right at the crotch. Presto! Billiard! Woot...

yeah no, you dont
but it is funny to see you speak so much about something you dont know anything about

put a ball infront of a hole and shoot the ball in! sooooo much harder woa call the wpa!

Whatever. You seem to be unaware that we are discussing a hypothetical beginner, not a player of any sort.

great response, whatever.
you seem to think putting a ball in a bucket is harder than aiming at two targets
"Whatever" is an appropritate response for your off the rails professional billiards requirements. Entry level billiards are easier. For instance, that basic billiard can be made over more distance than hitting a pocket at the same distance. The success rate would only even out if the pool shot was shooting the cue ball into a pocket.

sorry if it were easier, there would be pocketless tables in bars across america, americans do whats easier
and thats pocket balls

Maybe, but what's your point? No one plays this way. And why are we getting hypothetical? we play carom billiards in real life.
