Mystery Cue - could it be an RT97 custom ..??

Pls help to identify before it gets refinished. Seems to be a custom, perhaps local to Toronto area ? There is no identifying marking under the wrap or anywhere.
It has the same bumper and hex/alan screw as an RT97 I have also.

Two more pics...
Butt is a brown Ebony, points are rounded and perfectly aligned so probably cnc machined.
Wrap is electrical tape LOL ...removed the original linen the minute I got it.

No help in chasing down who made it but it looks to have recuts rather than veneers. Should be a very nice player. How does it hit?

Hits a lot like a Schön, the balance is nice, the joint is compression fit, but I've confirmed with a friend's Schön it's not a match, close but not quite.
...dangerously small tip for my game tho, it's an 11.9mm
 
This does not look like a "production" cue to me- That rubber bumper is a bit unique. The shaft pilot does not look like the Asian variety either. The butt sleeve with the stacked rings looks like a home based cue makers work. Hard for me, anyhow, to say where this one came from.

I like it when you get involved in these cue threads….you know your stuff….I’m more of a hands on guy.

Could it be an RT97 custom, the bumpers and screw look identical...

LOLs ...there aren't many around, but they were a partnership customs lasted only a few years I believe....called them RT97' ....I added a pics of the one I have.

Looked it up. The 'T' is Tom Hay and i believe he is the man behind Ultraskin tips. Cues were made in Florida. RT is for Rich/Tom.

I don't know much about other people's cues. Collaborations, especially short ones often never find a signature look. Many just swipe a look too, not saying anything about these guys, just how hard it can be to trace a cue to the builder.

These are well made looking cues, if hands on gave the same impression as looking I would be happy to own one.

This one may go up for sale soon, after it gets its leather wrap put on...it'll be a deep red cognac leather to match the cue.

How about the first cue in the post, does it look like one of yours....I attached the pics below.
Both the cues appear to have a very similar bumper and screw...

Whereabouts?
My parents condo is FortMyers area, near to Naples. They got hit pretty hard by that last Typhoon : (
Flights from here direct to FL are soo appealing it's hard to justify vacationing anywhere else....sometimes as low as $50
