What do you think the middle ferrule is made from
Cue was made about 15 years agoColour says Micarta of some sort, but the surface looks more like some sort of plastic. Is this an old cue by any chance?
Looks like Marblite from the Marblette company that Palmer and Cue makers from New York at the time used. The Company closed in 1982 but the material was still being used, even today. What do you think the middle ferrule is made fromView attachment 696537
Micarta or implex like they used on the early helmstettersWhat do you think the middle ferrule is made fromView attachment 696537
Implex is white, and stays white. It's acrylicThis is abs, it could be, but these ferruls are better than 20 years old and not going be get any more yellow. I still think it's that cheaper plastic that was used long ago called implex plastic
Dennis Searing and Harry Richards both confirmed about 20 years ago that the yellow material on a helmstetter i owned was implex. I'm not going to argue, i just took their word at the timeImplex is white, and stays white. It's acrylic
