2023 World Snooker Championship / April 15th - May 1st

Do the equipment rules forbid carbon fiber, plastic ferrules, etc? Or do the pros just prefer the traditional ash shafts? I'm surprised Predator or other US based companies don't seem to make any equipment.

no such rules, they can play with what they like. ash is preferred by most, but some use maple. hendry won 7 world titles with a 40$ maple cue

The camera work also gives a good look at Allen's delicate hand action.
AH!!!!!!!! I couldn't help exclamation. Mark outlasts. Selby.

Selby studies his tip between frames. He should study his heart. He turned down a shot to have Allen solve his safety. 6-3

I get the feeling that if Selby were to go on and win the WC, that he'd be a slight favorite over Ronnie to get to 8 total.

i can't help thinking it's gamesmanship to slow down matches in this fashion. he knows the saturday evening session will go long into the night hours by this pace
