2023 World Snooker Championship / April 15th - May 1st

My expectation would be a shot suited to a cueball look habit to be a quicker hit but only marginal.

His first shot from the jail was was exploratory, with safe leave and no free ball in mind. Then measured adjustments. He was in a bear trap.

Heck, I have time to watch it again. Without the comments it's entertainment. With Commentary it's Free Lessons.🤷

In the second frame, Stephen speaks of "he's got it" regarding cueball control. He has stated that cueball control should be the deciding factor. I looked up to see it was Si he was speaking of.
My note would be to the effect of, with his shot making ability his sure shape zone is larger. Plus Stephen spoke early when Brecel made an early miss against Ronnie and he pronounced it, "unforgivable ".🤷

Stephen speaks of, "Stamp your authority " reminds me of the baseball movie ....Bull Durham.

One more banger question.... let's make it two:

What's a banger called in snooker?
How many players are in a normal tour event?

100%

Two different types of snooker…..Luca and Si are rock n roll…..Selby and Allen are chamber music….but both matches are excellent.
I concur. My problem was with the chamber music following my lunch time...I did take a little nap.🤷 They both play so solid that I have a notion that what I missed was more of the same. Extended tactical battles that were settled in one visit when an opening was found. The applause would rouse me for the potting visits.😃

Didn't take long to get to the first interval at 8-4. Gotta love Rock and Roll.
With Brecel owning the handle of Belgian Bullet Si deserves a handle that's just as deadly.

it's really, really rare to see a debutant play like this. middle of the pocket all the time, no nerves. 9-4 now

Brecel hasn't had much chance for cueball control, he has put mental control on display though. Si's phenomenal shooting gets a wry smile.
