Karl Mayer?

This timing of the other thread was about perfect. Saw what I think is a KM cue on Ebay. Was gonna bid but had no idea of value or really anything about the cue. What you think? Mayer or not? Of so, what kind of value do these cues

I almost bid on that. It's a gem.

I was thinking Mayer, Gandy, National, or something like that.




Instead I am going after another old cue of the same genre. Not on Ebay. I'll post it when I get it. Similar era, similar style. Fat butt, pearlized plastics. Silk wrap.


EDIT: As far as value, I think it was a bargain if it is straight. It does look to be in nice shape. Figure each shaft at 100 easy. Take a little off for the non-matching ring....and it sold for about 204?

Yeah, a bargain. IMHO Others might feel different. What kills me is the seller might have got it at a garage sale or something for 10 bucks.....

Definitely a collectible and I dig that era.

I've run across a lot of vintage cues, with folks saying "maybe Mayer". This one I think IS a Karl Mayer. Interested in any feedback as to whether it is/isn't, but pretty sure it is...

Also curious what the ferrule is....some kind of old micarta?

Ferrule is probably yellow plastic, marblette
