Top 20 DRAW SHOTS of All Time … Backspin Mastery

. It's not in competition but WOW

So... does sidespin off the rail that ads to the speed count as part of the "draw" shot? I think, for a pure "draw" stroke, it has to be center ball, because any other spin would add or subtract from the draw shot itself. Fight me.

The running spin, with the backspin, definitely helps get the CB around the table on the Ignacio shot.

In a similar way, I think that football players yards should be counted differently. The QB yardage should be to the player that catches the ball, then the rest to go to the runner. Similar to a shot that is draw with spin, but then the spin is what adds much to the distance traveled.

Please post a link if you can find it.
Here's one:
Het has some very nice draw shots. Do I count a 5 rail drawshot? It's Isao Yuyama.

The video is only 2 years old and the one I talked about is much older. I did find the one I think I had in mind. See the "4 positional shots" at 1:10

I can't really see but guess it's also Yuyama? Apologies if im wrong.

Also @DrDave I wonder if there's some kind of maximum spin? If applied by a pneumatic robot cue: how much cue tips from the center? Would a special cue tip help? E.g. One that follows the exact curvature of the spot it hits on the ball?

Thanks for posting those. I've added the first to the great pool shots resource page.

The maximum tip offset is illustrated and demonstrated here:

Beyond that, the maximum spin is limited only by cue speed. I would think speeds much higher than maximum human cue speeds are possible with current tips (especially really hard tips).
