Just bought a table. Ball question.

How do I know if the balls are junk? Should I buy phenolic resin anyways? I see the aramith are like 400 bucks. I can find phenolic for 100. Would they be good? I did the rub test to see if these are Bakelite and I do get a chemical smell. Confused. I was having trouble with back English. Come to find out magnetic bar room table cue balls are called mud balls. They’re hard to get English with. Bought the 6 red dot cue ball and my English is back.
Anyways. Suggestions on balls I should buy?. I use Amazon. Thank you. Doug.

the high end ball sets are worth it in the long run (jmho)
but the dynosphere as mentioned above gets good reviews for bang for the buck

Do a search here for these, they are your best value. They play as good as any set out there, in most peoples' opinion.

A guy left that review. All the other reviews were good.

I've sold a dozen sets of the Dynashperes, and have been using them myself for about a year now, they are every bit as good as my Aramith Tournament set that costs 3x as much. They are also holding up well in some commercial settings I sold to.
I have not used the cue ball much though, it has zero markings on it and I like the visual feedback of the measle balls.
I bought them.
You wont be sorry. ;)

I have 3 sets of Dynaspheres from a "Skittles" set I paid $50 dollars for to their highest end "Rhodium" set and I can not tell ANY difference in performance across their low, medium and high price lines. Just very different styles. I honestly REALLY enjoy them ALL and recommend ANY dynasphere set. If cost is your primary concern, I would put the "Bronze" set, which is their basic set in standard colors, against ANY brand or manufacturer's very BEST set!
