Why not Pinegar?

With the Mosconi Cup being in London this year, I (IMHO) think it would be wise for the USA team to have some newer players on the team that will not fold up in the past (Dechaine, Bergman, Reinhold for example) under the intense pressure the drunk and boisterous English crowds will surely inflict. Jonathan Pinegar has always appeared to me to play with a calm and cool demeanor, perfect for the type of environment mentioned above. His Fargo rate is a point higher than Oscar Dominguez', who has gotten the call in the past and is often considered on a yearly basis.

So my question is, why not give Pinegar a shot at it? It couldn't possibly go any worse for him as some of the past year's selections, right?

Opinions?

I like Bergman but he is very against much traveling. Dechaine was strong but don't know about currently. I heard Wolford was being considered. Seems like Billy Thorpe is not being considered. Earl did not fare too well last cup.

He is unlikely to be an understanding loser.

Anyway, MR created a whole tour specifically to get on the Mosconi Cup by performance. The players you picked haven’t entered any MR events. So clearly they have zero interest.

The only player I picked was Pinegar. I mentioned the others only as a reference to some who couldn't hold up to the pressure in past Mosconi Cups.

He pretty much gotten crushed by any European he's played. Not all, but most. He's not even in the top 100 Fargo ratings. Josh Roberts would be a better choice. I even like Jeremy Seaman better then Wolford. Just my opinion.
Robert's has parental duties and Seaman is always hit or miss... don't sleep on Wolford, he's our best option at the moment it seems.

Shane is still young….he’s going to mature nicely with his attitude…..Alex speaks well of him.

How would he handle the shot clock?

Doesn't the American team get to pick a random player for the fifth spot or am I just having a brain fart?
Three players for each team will be determined by rankings. Two for each team will be wild card picks.

From a recent Matchroom news release:

"Three spots for both Team Europe and USA are up for grabs off the World Nineball Tour Rankings with all eyes on the one-year list for hopefuls. The first automatic pick for each side will be locked in after the conclusion of the European Open Pool Championship set to take place in Fulda, Germany from August 8-13 with the second automatic selection to follow at the US Open Pool Championship from September 25-30 at Harrah’s Resort, Atlantic City before the final automatic spot will be given after the conclusion of the inaugural Asian Open Pool Championship from October 10-15."
