Funny pic/gif thread...

Anyone with a discerning eye can see that rotor is only half worn out! Believe it or not, I have had people come in mechanic shops with worse. One I could hear the brakes from a quarter mile away with them just driving down the road. They wanted me to just change the pads.

Then there was the do it yourselfer that came in complaining the new brakes he and his buddy put on last weekend were defective, his car wasn't stopping well. Yup, it is possible to put the pads in backwards on many cars.

True story.

I actually did that to one wheel of my Mustang years ago when doing a late night brake job in my garage. 4 new rotors, pads for all corners, fluid flush and bleed job. Started about 10 pm...started backing out of the garage around midnight ..........screeeech...grind....wtf!! Fortunately it barely scuffed the rotor and this was a front wheel. The rears with the push and twist to compress calipers are a huge pain without the better tool for the job. - lesson learned.
