Outside Pro Players in Billiard Magazines... Who on AZBilliards has articles in Local Newspapers or Local Magazine Written about Them??

Here's an article about me. It's a little technical but then it is written for engineers.

Bob... I read the article a few days back. Found it very interest.

Not an article but I stopped at my grandparents to pick up my kids ( like 30 years a go) and my grandpa said so you lost Monday night?! I thought you were good ! Huh ? Your straight pool score was in the paper 😂😂 I had no idea they reported straight pool scores

My hometown paper reported our league night standings and previous week’s break and runs and perfect scores every week (1988-1993). My mom surprised me when going through her things, she had saved every clipping where I was mentioned.

As I mentioned above, the paper did an article on the APA, which was gaining steam in our area even though it was one of the longest existing APA regions in the country. When I started, it was still called The Busch League. The article highlighted those of us APA 7’s since that was the top handicap. If it weren’t for my mom, I would never have a copy of that article.

Someone at my local hall was talking about a player they knew that was amazing because he was on some ESPN match. I replied "you can simply run out naked during a baseball game and end up featured on ESPN" LOL, it's not an immediate sign of skill.
An example is the McAfee Show. He’s a AssClown impersonator. ESPN has reached a new low. I thought Stephen A. Smith was as low as they could go. My bad.

Unexpected but proud moment for me was seeing my name listed in a small box score of the standings for the BCA Juniors state tournament ... thirty years ago when I was still junior! I cut out the clipping but lost it over the years, of course.

Huge frill though for a teenager pool fanatic. I didn't win but made it to quarterfinals. Winner got his way paid to nationals. I ran into the junior state champion from that year a couple years back and we played some One Pocket and Banks.
